👥 Who is eligible for this service?
In the first 12 months, only a small number of patients will qualify. You must:
Have a BMI over 40
Have at least 4 of these 5 conditions:
➡️Type 2 diabetes
➡️High blood pressure
➡️Sleep apnoea
➡️Heart disease or stroke
➡️High cholesterol/triglycerides
If you think you are eligible for this medication please read the information created for patient from the Commissioners office (below) before contacting us.
We would greatly appreciate it if you would please not contact the surgery regarding this. We cannot prescribe this currently.
If you choose to be assessed by a private or ‘Right to choose’ service and are prescribed a GLP-1 type inhibitor you will be expected to continue getting your prescriptions privately – we do not enter shared care with organisations outside of the NHS.
